Apparel Development
Fashion Designer in Calgary, AB
Colour Alchemist Canada helps apparel and fashion designers turn their ideas into real wearable garments. It is our mission to help you churn out your vision, advise on feasibility, study your brand’s style, and translate that information into a specific garment. Our holistic approach covers all aspects of fashion and apparel development, including working with your clothing factory to ensure your pieces are properly and efficiently produced. Our goal is to help you fill in the blanks between your idea and what the garment factories need to initiate your final step: The production of your goods. Thanks to our unique position in the marketplace, we’re able to leverage our relationships with suppliers and manufacturers to bring your vision to life.
The Custom Designed Apparel pathway is one that creates your vision from scratch.
Flat Sketches
Colour Alchemist Canada requires basic front and back sketches to begin the pattern making process. Clients are welcome to provide quality flat sketches of their own, or we can develop them for you. Sketches help prevent miscommunication of details between idea and pattern.
Technical packages (tech packs)
A tech pack is a blueprint of an apparel design that is created to communicate to your manufacturer/factory what components are required to construct your product. Tech-Packs include detailed sketches, custom measurements for your product, materials required, colours, trimmings, label, hangtag, and packaging information. Colour Alchemist Canada can provide tech packs for domestic and import production.
Pattern Design: Patterns or Spec development
Patterns are the “puzzle pieces” of your garment. Patterns are tangible assets that represent the core of your brand’s identity (the fit) and are considered intellectual property. All patterns designed by Colour Alchemist Canada are from scratch and based on your exclusive target body. All production patterns produced for you are exclusively yours and will not be reused or resold by Colour Alchemist Canada. Both manual and digital (CAD) patterns available.
Colour Ups and Line Sheets
Companies often require coloured sketches and line sheets for sales purposes. Colour Alchemist Canada can provide colour ups and line sheets for your products.
Collection Standardization
Collection standardisation is ensuring that the fit and sizing throughout your collection makes sense for your client and remains consistent. Clients who have purchased full packages have this service included. Consulting for existing brands available. Call us for a review of your product.
